Elkjøp Foundation aims to help everyone enjoy amazing technology

Elkjøp/Elgiganten/Gigantti’s vision is to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. Our annual Tech Trouble Survey [LINK], with 1000 respondents across a representative demography, shows that there are many people that actually are in dire need of help. They are not able to enjoy amazing technology, and thus they are lagging behind to various degrees in the fast paced technological developments of society. We want to fight this digital exclusion, so in 2017 we launched Elkjøp/Elgiganten/Gigantti Foundation, through which we support organisations and associations that shares the same ambition as us.

For many of us, it is only natural to have access to technology in everyday life. We use our bank app to pay our bills, we order tickets to concerts or events through apps, apply for jobs online and update ourselves in line with the ever changing technological advancements. Unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone.

It can be the elderly who do not have the competence or knowledge, families without financial means or those who have been in prison or in institutions. People who for various reasons may not have the tools needed to keep up.

This leads to a digital gap in our society. People are left behind and excluded from what seems very natural for others. This is something we want to change. Therefore, Elkjøp/Elgiganten/Gigantti Foundation supports organizations and associations financially or with products or guidance. Together we fight digital exclusion!

In order to be eligible for support from us, you need to represent an organization or association and you need to apply.
